The best way to deal with any retrofit is to start with accurate as built drawings. Often these drawings do not exist, in which case, ISAT uses a myriad of techniques and tools to create accurate record drawings. Typically the drawings are created in 2D form and used as the basis of creating an engineered seismic brace layout. These drawings include all of the needed information and details for submission to the local authority and or OSHPD. These drawings are also used by the contractor for installation and used by the inspector for conformance review.

ISAT as-built laser scanning offers a very cost-effective solution over traditional construction, surveying and engineering measuring techniques. Traditional methods are time consuming, often inaccurate or contain missing data and can lead to unacceptable scheduling delays and budget overages. Since ISAT laser data is captured directly, an accurate X, Y and Z model is captured and the full range of CAD-generated deliverables are available to the client in a shorter time, provides for greater project management and most of all, huge savings.
