Seismic Joint Design

The IBC requires that all utilities crossing a building seismic joint be designed to withstand the anticipated movement of the joint (ASCE 7-05 13.6.3.3 (Mechanical Systems), ASCE 7-05 13.6.4.8 (Electrical Systems).  Typically the systems must have flex connectors installed at the joint, with seismic bracing installed (on the utility) on both sides of the joint.  Let ISAT’s engineers take the load off your shoulders, we design the flex and seismic bracing for you!  Along with providing the design, ISAT can also supply the flex and bracing materials
